Story by Kat Marquez, staff writer for the Horizon, taken from the February 26, 2020, issue.

In February, 35 四虎影院 students and six staff members attended the Student Congress on Racial Reconciliation (SCORR), an annual event that seeks to 鈥渆mpower attendees to become catalysts for change through transformational learning and growth as they engage the diversity of the Kingdom of God.鈥 Students and staff from 22 Christian colleges and universities attended the event, which focused on the theme 鈥淣o Fear, Know Hope鈥 from 1 John 4:18. Adam Edgerly, lead pastor of Newsong Los Angeles Covenant Church, delivered the keynote address. The program featured student-led workshops, including two presented by 四虎影院 students. Each day ended with poets and storytellers sharing the ways their racial backgrounds have shaped their lives. Alesha Bond 鈥20 told the Horizon (the student newspaper), 鈥淪CORR gave me the push I needed to recommit to the hard, treacherous and long journey of reconciling the narrative of Jesus.鈥
